As the latest version of The Legend of the Condor Heroes hits the TV screen this year, many viewers can't help but delve into the romantic love story of Guo Jing and Huang Rong.

The Legend of Condor Heroes is a martial arts novel by Jin Yong. In 1983, it was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong. The 59 episode series is divided into three parts.

The 1983 version is considered by many to be a classic television adaptation of the novel and features the breakthrough role of Barbara Yung, who played Huang Rong.
